Reading Response #4
Silvia Soriano "Bad Girls Dont die" by Katie Alender 12.12.12
Who has “power” in your text? How does that power get shown?
In the book "Bad girls dont die" by Katie Alender, its about a girl name Alexis, she use to have friends and be a normal teen, but when her best friend moved she isn't the same person anymore. She isnt very social anymore. Shes the opposite of normal. She doesn't get along with a lot of people. Her only truly friend is her sister, but her sister Kasey starts to act different each day. Her other only real friend is Carter, as boy that makes Alexis feel safe, comfortable. Alexis has to find out whats wrong with her sister, Kasey who is acting weird and weirder everyday. Alexis cant do this on her own, she needs the help from someone she doesn't really get along. She will have to put her differences aside to save her sister and figure out what is happening to her sister. Alexis is up to face something she never has witness before. She will make new friendships along the way and even a new relationship, that is if she makes it out alive.
In the Book "Bad Girls Dont Die" by Katie Alender, I say that Alexis has the power. She is the one that keeps looking in deeper to find out what is happening. She is the one that looks for answers and questions. She knows what to do and what not to do. She plans what she is going to do, she does what she wants without asking anyone else. Shes being the responsible one. Alexis doesn't just think of herself and her sister first, she also thinks of others before her. She even thinks about some of the people she doesn't like, and some that had made her life a nightmare. The power gets shown because she isn't afraid to confront this thing. She isn't afraid to look for answers and to unreveal the truth behind everyone's past. She plays with "Her" Game. She knows how to control her thoughts and emotions. How to talk people into telling her what she wants to know without her telling them what shes looking for.She has the brain, the heart, and the sneakiness of a mice.
On the other hand I also think that Megan, the friend of Alexis, or well the person helping Alexis with the whole situation, could also be the one that has the power in the text. She is one of the victims that "Her" is planning to go after. She is experiencing what it really feels like. She is a big part of the persons history, she has a big part in all of this. Also in Alexis life, even if its just as friends or just as helping her. Megan knows who to handle this kind of problems and situations , she has known to solve this problems for years, its one of her favorite things to do. Also this inst just about saving Kasey, she also wants to find out the truth about her history. Its her chance to unsolve her life also, what really did happened to her, to her mother, why did it happened. Was it "Her" fault also? Megan gets a win win out of this situation.
If I was in both Megan and Alexis situation, I would both want to save my sister from that and learn the truth about my life and my past. Either way, what will always come first is saving the lifes of others, making sure that this doesn't get out to anyone or anymore people that aren't involve in this, because it will just make people want to interfere and stop what your doing. Your doing this because you have to not because you want to. People life's depend on this. Its not just a game you can restart if you lose. You just have one chance to make it right.
In conclusion "Bad girls dont die" can be seen from many peoples point of views. Many people (Characters) could be the power in the text. It all depends in what way we see it in.What reason you think is the most important and why you think that. Its a book that will keep you wondering till the end. Every move they make will scare you.It will test your knowledge in every-way possible.

Reading Blog #3
Silvia Soriano "I know what you did last Summer" By Lois Duncan December 5 2012
Whose perspective is missing in this text? What would it be like if we put it back?
After reading the book "I know what you did last Summer" By Lois Duncan It made me realize that we all keep secrets, not because were embarrassed of them, but because we are scared of the consequences they might bring to us. The book "I know what you did Last Summer" is all about 4 friends hiding a terrible secret. All of them trying to move on with their life's and forget about the past. Them trying to be happy again. This book is almost all in Julie, one of the main characters point of view. She is trying to live the town to forget about everything that has happened. After Julie gets a threatening letter "I know what you did last summer" she tries to reunite the gang to find out who knows about their secret. The whole book is almost all in Julie perspective. Julie trying to be positive about the whole situation, but at the same time keeping it under cover, from everyone that doesn't know. A person perspective that is missing in the book is the person that is sending the threat, other known as Collingsworth Wilson, the victim of their accident half brother. We never got to know how he felt how he felt about getting revenge on them.
While reading "I know what you did last Summer", I always wonder why didn't they at least give us the person threatening them thoughts, emotions, ideas. Even if they didn't revel to us who he was. I guess it was fair that they didn't tell us anything about the "Person Threatening" them because this just made us want to read to the very end. It made our brains think more and deeper into the book. It made us try to get in the head of the "Person Threatening them" and Julie, and the rest of the characters head. It keeps us wondering till the end, making sure we pick up the clues its giving us, not leaving out any of them. The author must have wanted us to fall into her tricks so she can lead us of and into thinking another thing. So when we finish the book we would be wrong in the person we thought was "The person threatening them". Every mistake we made in reading it lead us further and further away from the truth . Its where our imagination and opinion, our instincts and creativity take place and take over.
While reading "I know What you did last Summer" I also asked myself another question, why was the book almost in all of Julie perspective? Did Julie have the biggest plot in the book, was Julie the one that was suppose to find out who the person was. Was she the one that was suppose to get the gang back together. Was Julie the key to everything, she was the person that was the one that pushes everyone to help and find the truth. In my opinion Julie was like the key to everything. She was the "The Person Threatening" them most likely target because she was the one that did want to go back and help the person they killed. She was the one that wasn't the most strongest person to keep the secret. Julie was a person that have felt the most guilt out of all of them. The one that actually cared about the person. The one that didn't want to just leave and not do anything about it. She was the one that wanted the most to forget about all of that, but couldn't.
In my opinion if I was Julie, and I was forced to keep that secret I would lose it. The guilt would just be eating me in the inside, it would be killing me from both the outside and the inside. I wouldn't be the same Person anymore. I had lived and watch a person die right in front of me, and what could I do noting? Why? Because my friends didn't let me, they made me keep it a secret. They did this to me,so when we stopped talking it was like trying to forget about it and they were helping me for once about it.They wouldn't be a reminder of what happened that horrible night.
In conclusion, their could have been many ways that this story could have gone that would have made the book more interesting and that could have made us wonder more, and keep us thinking longer and deeper. Made the book more entertaining. Could have given us the exciting taste in the book. Different perspective could have given the book many leads. It could have taken the book in many different directions and different endings.

Social Awareness Project
Problems I see around school, my home, neighborhood, media.
- Peer Pressure
- Bullying
- Cyber Bullying
- People starving themselves so people can like them and call them "Hot" and "Pretty"
- Friendships being destroyed
- Stealing boyfriends
- Teenagers disrespecting the elders
- Families having money problems
- The Condition of some places
- Racism in neighborhoods
- Pollution of places
Peer Pressure:
Peer pressure I see everyday, every where. People trying to fit in some where will always do what "Those people" tell them to do. You will be forced to do something you have never done and maybe never have wanted to do. You just do it to please people and because maybe they also do it. For whatever reason your doing what they tell you to do it, its wrong your creating a fake you. Your not being yourself, your being the person "Their Creating" their perfect image. You being a follower not a leader.
Continuing to fall into peer pressure, will just make you never be who you really are. People will take advantage of you cause they know you wont fight back or say anything. People will lose their respect for you. You wont be known as anyone anymore, just the shadow of someone or someones. What you can do is stand up for yourself. Do what you want to do, not what people tell you to do. Find friends who like you for who you really are. who respect you no matter what.

Who are you to tell me to die?
I know I'm not perfect
I don't have the prettiest smile
Or the perfect body
Sorry I wear sneakers instead of heels
Sorry I wear jeans instead of skirts
Sorry I don't wear what you do
I play soccer instead of cheer-leading
Why you may ask?
Cause that who I am
So please enlighten me,
Who are you to tell me to die?
To disappear from the world
Are you perfect? No you aren't
You and me are the same
You are no better than me.
The Process;
The process of writing this poem was first thinking about a really big big problem. Then thinking about why people think their not perfect. The reason why sometimes people fall into a depression or into suicide thoughts, and sometimes even starve themselves( Becoming bulimic, or any other eating disorders). This poem is all about , how we are all equal. No one is perfect, no one is better than anyone else. Also that nobody should ever tell someone they should die. Just because their not like you or "The Popular people" .

Someone who Changes the World Everyday;
I picked Munro Chambers as a person that changes the world
everyday. Munro and the whole cast of Degrassi ( T.V Show, really big in Canada.)
traveled to Ghana to build schools. During the summer of 2012 they traveled to
Ghana to build schools in towns/villages where their aren't any schools for kids, and also town/villages that cant afford to build one. In the past years Munro Chambers has also done a fundraising video to benefit Haiti. Munro Chambers has also appeared in "We Day" along Co-Star Aislinn Paul. Many of the money were going to "Free the Children" ( 1 million to be exact.)

Reading Response #7
Silvia Soriano Reading Response "Deadly little Games" By Laurie Faria Stolart Nov,14, 2012
Everyone has a relationship that is unique. Nobody's knows whats really going on except for you and that person your in a relationship with. In a real relationship you need, jealously, trust, fights, there good things, their bad things. In the book "Deadly little Games" By Laurie Faria Stolart its all about a girl named Camila and her boyfriend Ben, relationship. Ben is unique, so is Camila they have powers, with each other touch they can see the future. Their relationship is put on the test when Ben ex-friend , Adam is hanging out with Camila, spending too much time to her. Ben keeps trying to show that it doesn't bother him, but he will soon have to try more harder when Adam is in danger and Camila, thinks its up to her, responsibility to make sure Adam is safe and nothing happens to him. Ben isn't to happy about this. The rest of the story is all about Ben and Camila trying to keep their relationship stable, and helping Adam stay alive. Will Camila save Adam, and keep her relationship with Ben? Will Camila lose one of them?
While reading the book "Deadly little Games" By Laurie Faria Stolart, I always asked myself one question, did Camila ever think what would Ben feel towards her spending time with his ex-best friend and her ex-date person (Boyfriend). Camila did talk to Ben towards the situation, but Ben always seemed like the type of person that never told what he was really feeling. He always told Camila that it was cool, but that he just didn't want to lose her, she means to much to him. On the other hand he didn't want to share his thoughts with her, making Camila feel a little weird and that sad that her boyfriend doesn't trust her enough to tell her thoughts, and hurt. Maybe Ben just didn't want to make Camila worried about anything. He didnt want to sound like a jealous boyfriend, that didn't like his girlfriend hanging out with guys. He wanted his girlfriend to feel as if he can trust her no matter what.
While reading this book I also asked myself another question, why didn't Camila try to get Ben help her with this whole situation? If Camila thought that helping Adam would be a big distraction, or a problem for her and Ben relationship, why didn't she just ask him to be their with her every step of the way. Ben could see that nothing was going and is happening with Adam and Camila that will harm his and Camila relationship. Camila could have spend time with her boyfriend making sure they were okay, that nothing was uncomfortable for both of them, and that Adam was safe and sound. On the other hand maybe Camila wanted to make Ben trust her more even if he wasn't their with her. She wanted him to know that it didn't matter if she was with Ben or with Adam, she would be faithful to Ben cause her emotions and feelings towards Ben never have and will change.
If I was Camila and in her position, I would like my boyfriend, in this cause Ben to feel that he can trust me 100%, doesn't matter if I am by myself with Adam, or with Adam and Ben. It doesn't change where I am and who I am with it still the same thing. If I'm with Adam that isn't going to make me cheat on Ben, just because I'm hanging out with him. I would be faithful to Ben during the whole situation.
In conclusion "Deadly little Games" By Laurie Faria Stolart is all about a couple dealing with a person coming in between them, them trying to survive it, plus making sure that person is alive. Them being able to get throw anything that they are face with. I have to be able to say that I am happy that I have never been in any kind of situation like that. I always try to make sure everyone is okay and great with each other.Sometimes you make the decisions you make thinking about the person that means the world to you. Sometimes you have to take a risk and just hope for the best.

Reading Response # 6
Silvia Soriano Reading Response; The Storm swept one candidate toward the finish. But whoever loses has only himself to blame".
After reading "The Storm swept one candidate toward the finish .But whoever loses has only himself to blame." by John Heilmann I realized that Hurricane Sandy did have a hug affect on the election of 2012, Barack Obama VS. Mitt Romney. With Hurricane happening it gave both Romney and Obama a chance to prove them self one more time what the were all about, bye showing the public (The United States) how they would they take charge in a situation like this. How the President of the United States took his role in one of the most important and suppisenly dangerous event of the year. Also how maybe the new future President of the United States (Romney) does and reacts to this, also how he would try to take action or say.In any way the Hurricane Sandy would have made the choice more clear to everyone. Has the hurricane made the choice more clear? Or Has it made everything more difficult for everyone?
In the article "The Storm swept one candidate toward the finish .But whoever loses has only himself to blame." by John Heilmann I always asked myself one question during reading it, what if the hurricane made Romney and Obama act not like themselves? What if they only acted nice, sweet, helpful and caring because they knew this was their last chance to convince the people to vote for them. To help them for their own self fish ways , instead of the real ,honest truth that is being hidden. In the article it said that Romney really didn't have a role to play, he wasn't president so he couldn't do anything big like at that time President Obama could. He was also affected by hurricane Sandy his house was supposedly affected by the hurricane. While on the other hand when Obama did make a small mistake/ debated what to do it was Romney who took charge/ took it upon his self to do something. So really both Romney and Obama weren't given an advantage during the hurricane, it made them both look like each other, they couldn't control what was happening and what happened they just both went with the flow. They worked with what they had and tried to make the best out of the situation.
While reading "The Storm swept one candidate toward the finish. But whoever loses has only himself to blame." I also asked myself another question, was the voting jeporized because of what Obama and Romney tried to due during the Hurricane? Were we scared of what might happen next during the hurricane that we just voted for the one that supposedly said stuff that charmed us, the one that filled our heads up with lies? In the article is said that most of the voting was finally decided because of the the lies , stuff, things that were bing said during the hurricane. On the other hand many of them had lots of the people/ voters/ states/ governors support since before the hurricane. With both of then traveling to every state to talk to the people they had to have convinced the voters during that period of time. Obama had the Hispanic support since way before that, so people couldn't just say that Hurricane Sandy affected the voting because it really didn't. Maybe it could have made people finally decided/ or confirm their final choice that they have been debating on.
If I was able to vote, I would have chosen the Candidate that was saying what he would be doing, what actions he would be taking during Hurricane Sandy because, I would be scare like every other person. Wondering whats going to happen next. Whats going to happen to me, my family and every body I know. I would I even be able to survive in my house with my family if I don't even have power or anything else useful in my house. I would just want everything to be fixed at once and Ill listen to anything they say to feel safe and like everything is going to be okay.
In conclusion I have learned that the Hurricane Sandy did affect the voting and the election in many ways.It change the voting of many people. It gave both candidates a chance to make themselves look good before the voting. It was a election like any other, it had its bad side to it it had its good side to it. It was what makes us human. In the end we had the choice to vote for who we wanted, in the end we had the last word and our decision is what made election what it is. We shouldn't regret it , its past.

Reading Post #5
Silvia Soriano Reading Response "What Happened to Goodbye" October 10 2012
After parents divorce, kids arent the same any more. Believe it or not a parents divorce has more affect on children than you think. They grow up all their life's with both parents, and then all of a sudden things change, everything is confusing and different. In the book "What happened to Goodbye" a girl named Mclean parents divorced, she was a teenager at the time. She blamed her mother, because her mother left her father for the Baseball star she loved. She didn't want anything to do with her mother anymore. Things were different, seeing her mom with another guy was strange for her. When her dad started working around the country she decided to go with her dad. Mclean started moving around the country with her dad every time he got a new job. She Started at every new school with either a new name, new personality, new look, anything for her to look different than the last year. She hated saying good bye ,so she always left without saying good bye. When Mclean and her dad move to a new city, she finally tries to be herself. She tries to bond with her mom. She finally accepts the idea of her mom and Dad having their own separates lives. She even finds love, which she had been avoiding since her parents got divorce. The book is all about Mclean learning to accept the truth, what is really going on.Her whole journey is learning to accept what is really going on.Will she accept everything that comes with her new present? Will she like it?
In the book "What happened to Good bye", I always asked myself one question, why did Mclean always try to be someone new every where she moved to? I know she left her town because of what happened with her parents, but that doesn't necessary mean she has to be another person. Her parents had changed with their relationship, not her. She wasn't going to be leaving them, or she wasn't going to be going to another family cause of this. Everything was the same, she still has a mother that loves her. She still has a father that loves her too. Nothing changed, maybe just that their not together, but thats all. On the other hand maybe she did feel that when her parents love died a part off her did too.She grew up knowing that she will always have her parents together loving her, then..bam. That changed, all the memories she had with her parents were just memories. Nothing will probably be the same anymore.Maybe she felt that since her parents changed their lives, she could too. Maybe she also wanted to kill/ or get rid of her old self.
While reading the book "What Happened to Goodbye" I also asked myself another question,is why would she blame her mom for her parents divorced? Sure her mother was the one that made them get the divorce bu that doesn't mean its completely her fault. Her mother was lonely, all her father did was work. She was falling out of love with him. It was a better idea to break it off with someone your no longer happy with, then to lie and be unhappy with that person. Her mother wasn't the only one to blame. Also her dad, he spent so much time with work, he forgot about his wife and the love. If her dad really loved her and didn't want the divorce he would have tried to get her back, or at least fight for her. It was both their faults. She shouldn't choose sides between her parents, because that will just make things worse. It will make her relationship with her mother worse than it already is. She just has to accept the fact that sometimes it isn't anybody's fault things just happen. On the other hand she can be really hurt and just wants to blame somebody for the pain she has.
If I was in Mclean position, I would be hurt no doubt. My parents are starting new lives without each other. Their with other people now. Even though I loved them together, and wish they would be together again. I would have wanted to blame someone for their faller in the relationship , but thats just it. Its no ones fault. Things happen for reasons, sometimes good and sometimes for bad. In the End i just have to accept it, its nothing I can or could control. Those were and are their emotions and lives, not mine.
In conclusion I have learned to care and respect my parents more than I do now. I have to grateful that my parents are still together and hopefully forever will. They love each other. Thats all that matters. It has also aware me that divorce children sometimes all they need is a friend, someone to listen to them. To be their for them, cause that what they really need.
Silvia Soriano Reading Response "The Drummer boy Of Shiloh" October 3 2012
Everyone isn't always so confident about on who they are, what they do in their life's, we all go through this in one point of our life's. In the book "The Drummer boy Of Shiloh" bye Ray Bradury deals with insecurity and lack of confidence. Everyone needs somebody to boost their confidence for them to show them that they should be happy because of who they are.The whole book is about Joby ( The main character/ Drummer boy of Shiloh) finding himself and being happy with who he is. Will he find it? Will he be happy with the results.
In the book/ short story "The Drummer boy of Shiloh" Joby felt that a no one. He felt alone. He probably felt that fighting for his life was/is worthless, he doesn't
have anything to fight for a tomorrow (If their was even a tomorrow)He didn't have a family cause he ran away to follow his dream and this is where his dream took place. He left everything behind for this, now that he is here he doesn't want to be their anymore. Joby just probably wanted to give up on everything. That is until he meets the general. The general surprisingly isn't like other generals that don't have a heart and is mean and tough, he has a soft side, a caring listening side and a heart. He gives Joby good advice about how he shouldn't give up, on his job, on the war and in everything in general. The general doesnt act like a general he acts like a Dad towards Joby, he acts like a role model. I guess the general knows that he needs to keep a positive attitude towards Joby because he is the youngest in the army.I also guess he has to keep a positive attitude towards the whole war, he has to make it look like everything is okay for the rest of the soldiers. Joby then realizes that he is worth so much more and gains confident from all of the general advice.
While reading the book /short story I asked myself one question, what would have happened if Joby never took the general advice? I think that if Joby never took the general advice, Joby would have never realized how important it was to be the drummer boy of Shiloh.
He would have fighted for his life for no reason. He would have felt that maybe it didn't matter if he lived or if he didn't.Joby confidence wouldn't have never been as good as it was after he talked to the general. He would have never felt that he belonged their. Maybe he would have died not proud of himself, he would have died maybe even disgusted of who he was.
If I was Joby I would have been confused too and lonely. Being the youngest is always the hardest for anyone. Not knowing if your doing what your supposed to right. Is also hard for anyone who has a low self a-seen is also hard. I would have need someone to tell me I can do it for me to feel better.
In conclusion "The Drummer Boy of Shiloh" is a book/story that I would recommend to anyone who has a low self A-steen. Anybody who isn't really happy or proud of who they are. This book made me look at myself and really truly find myself .

Unbelievable A Pretty Little Liars Novel By Sara Shepard
The Book Unbelievable by Sara Shepard is a book about secrets and what secrets can do to you. The book is also about trust, who you can and cant trust, who is worthy and who isn't worthy of your trust, trusting the wrong people could be the biggest mistake of your life, trusting the right people isn't always the best thing to do. The main Characters in Unbelievable are Aria, Emily, Spencer and Hanna. Best friends since 7 grade part of the it Club with another girl named Alli. These girls were best friends, they did everything together they told everything to each other, all their secrets.Alli was Queen bee of this little club. Alli was the girl Aria Spencer Emily and Hanna looked up to.Alli was the one that always made Spencer Aria Emily and Hanna do what she wanted, and when they didn't she used their secrets against them and each other. Spencer and Alli Always had trouble getting along, they always disagreed always fought.Alli always told Aria and Spencer and Emily that Spencer was just jealous of her. Alli starting getting distant from the girls. One night while the girls were having a sleep over at Spencer Barn, they woke up to find Alli and Spencer gone, then Spencer returned saying Alli gone. After that night Alli was said to be missing.A year has past by and Alli is still missing the girls have changed they all gone their separate ways.Soon they start receiving messages from a person called A. In these messages are secrets that only Alli would know. Few weeks after receiving messages they find Alli`s Body, they all think that A was Alli and know that Alli was found dead the messages would stop right? Well no they don't. They keep getting messages. All four of them have no choice than to reunite and figure out who A is.The entire book is about them learning to trust each other again and finding out who A is, but was reuniting and trusting each other better or for worse. Will they push each other over the edge? Will They Find A?
While I was reading Unbelievable, I asked myself a question, did they want to find A because it knew their secrets?Or did they want to find A because they thought A was Alli killer, were they doing this for themselves or for Alli? One thing that always came to my mind was that they never spoke about finding A to get revenge for it Killing Alli. Were they even sure A had killed Alli. A had send them all different clues about who it was. It was leading them away from the truth by using their secrets against each other..like Alli did. Each time A had threaten them about exposing their secrets, they all did separately what A had told them to do to stop A from exposing their secrets.Every time something they didn't want to be reveled they, always found a way to blame Alli. They blamed Alli for setting off the fire cracker in Jenna Garage and blinding her.Even though they never told Alli when she was alive they do now when shes dead. On the other hand they always did say they trusted Alli the most out of everyone thats why they told her everything. They also said its been more than a year and they were still tangle in Alli`s webs of lies. They didn't want to find Alli killer, cause Alli Killer probably just wants to tangle them in more lies make them suffer more. They just want to be free, free of A, free of Alli`s webs of lies, free of all their secrets. They don't 100% want to find A supposedly Alli`s killer for revenge they just want to be free of all the secrets that have been haunting them.On the other hand maybe they do want to find Alli`s killer. Alli no mater what she was, she was still their friend, best friend.Even if she was mean to them,Alli was always their for them when they needed her. She didn't deserve to be murdered or what ever else really happened to her.
Another question that I also asked myself while reading the book was did they really want to face reality and find A? The person who has been making their life's hard ever since they found Alli`s body. The person who has been hurting them both emotionality and physically . The person who ran over Hanna because she knew to much, who knew who A really was.The person who they think and maybe right or wrong that killed Alli, their Alli their best friend since seventh grade. If they did find A it could change everything, A could be someone who they never thought possible could have killed anyone.Even if they did find A wouldn't they risk that A might tell everyone(The Police, Their parents everyone in Rosewood ) about all their secrets.About Everything they did with Ali.On the other hand if they don't find A or they chose not to face reality , A could keep doing what she is doing to them. She could make things harder for Aria Spencer Emily and Hanna. A wouldn't be paying the consequences for her actions, for running over Hanna. Leaving her in the Hospital ,making her loose her memory.Killing Alli perhaps? Making Aria parents divorce. Making them do what they did even if they didn't want to cause it was against their will.
In my opinion If I was in the place that Aria,Spencer,Emily and Hanna were, I would have tried to take "A" down on my own. Killing Alli was one thing, maybe it hurt me alot cause I had been best friends with her for a long time. I had trusted her and had loved and cared for her. That was all in the past, that was my history and this is my present. If "A" would have black mailed me about my present, saying she would tell everyone my secrets, hurt someone I cared for if i didn't do what she had told me to do, I would take that personal.I would have told the police.Even if "A" did told me telling the police was just going to make her do more bad things to the people I care about, I know that the police would have the right equipment to track "A" down.I would have also told everything to the police, if I came clean "A" couldn't have used anything else against me cause everyone already knows the truth.I would have also taken all the consequences of what I did years ago with Alli.Coming clean is way better than living in until A wants me to.
In Conclusion Unbelievable is a book that kept me wondering till the end.A book that made me think every time I flipped a page. It made me think in Aria, Spencer, Emily and Hanna point of view every time they did what they did.Its a book that gives me chills just thinking about who killed Alli. This book showed me the true value of friendships and how strong and effective they could be to someone. How trusting the wrong person could make you suffer even if the person is gone, cause you cant change your past, you cant change what happened ,all you could do is live your present cause thats the only thing you could do.Believing you could your past is something you can do but in the end your left with reality. In the end what matter is what you think and what you do to make your past not repeat its self again.

Reading Post # 2 My thoughts On other Students Reading Responds September 19 2012
While reading Paul Reading response I found it really intersecting , because Paul also read a book dealing with adoption and I so did I during Summer . I really liked his reading response/ Reading blog because mine and his books were very different even though they both talked about adoption. In Paul book the main character felt special and he didn't know he was adopted so he never asked or went through the weird phase of being an adopted kid. On the other hand in my book, she knew she was adopted , she was insecure cause of it . She felt like she dint fit in like she wasn't as important as everyone else. She hated the fact that she was adopted that maybe her birth parents didn't want her cause they weren't the daughter they expected her to be. She has doubts on her ,herself and everything around her.In Paul book thats not the case. He never knew that he was adopted, he didn't grew up with these doubts like the character in my book did. Thats why I like and find Paul book very interesting cause I can have a connection from my book to his even though the plots are not the same they still talk about a very important subject.
While reading Sophia reading blog post/ reading post I found it very interesting because I read that book before, well I read both of the books Sophia described in her reading response. I really liked her reading response because while I was reading the book I had another idea of the whole plot. I didn't have the same Idea Sophia did. I didn't like how the plot was described .On the other hand Sophia liked some of those plots. Also Sophia described what she thought the main reason pulling them together was...music. I on the other hand thought it was Love, maybe even true love , fate ,destiny . None of this answers are correct they maybe all could be correct because their our own opinion . Their is no wrong or right answer. Thats why I like Sophia Blog because it gave me a chance to really think about my opinion about the book. About what I thought before and What I think know.

Reading Responce #1 (NEW UPDATED)
Silvia Soriano Reading Response: September 8 2012
Finding Miracles by Julia Alvarez
In "Finding Miracles" by Julia Alvarez its a book about dealing with adoption, fears and learning to find out who you really are. The main character Milly (Milly Spanish name is Milagros, which in her native country means miracles) is a girl adopted into the Kaufman family. Milly hasn't told anyone besides her best friend Em that she is adopted, and well besides her parents and her sister who was adopted in her native country, who is the same age as her.Milly doesn't want anybody to know from where she really is, cause shes ashamed that she is from their and not from Vermont . Milly nationality is brought to notice when a boy named Pablo moves to Vermont and discovers that Milly looks exactly like all the people back at his Native country.Milly has no choice than to revel to everybody who she really is, where she originally comes from and everything else she has been keeping from everyone .The entire book is about Milly figuring out her past piece by piece ,and traveling back to her native country to learn more about who she really is, what happened to her birth parents, why did they give her up, how did she end up with her family, but was all of this to fast for Milly to figure out? Was Milly satisfied with what she found out about her past or not?
While i was reading " Finding Miracles" one questioned always showed up, did Milly really know what was going to happened to her after she found out the truth about who she really was? After finding out truth to her and her family? One thought that came to my mind was maybe she thought if she found out all she wanted to know she would either be so happy and be grateful about everything that has happened to her. She could react like her being put up for adoption was for her own good. She could realize that maybe her parents weren't capable of taking care of her at that time. On the other hand Milly would have not understand why her biological parents did what they did. She could have thought that coming to her native country was something she regrets . Her learning more about who she truly is is something that she hates . Something that she would have never wanted to know. Milly could of also realized that she has the perfect family even if their not her biological parents, their still her parents that love her.
Another questioned that i always asked my self when reading this book was did Milly parents really want her to go back to her native country?Did her parents not like that Milly talked about her not being a part of the family? And did Milly parents not care if she was adopted , did they treat her as if she was their real kid? Her Parents never really liked talking about her being adopted. Was that maybe a sign that they didn't like that subject. When Milly Dad mom came to visit them talking about her will, she only included her sister Katie and her brother Nate , her parents were angry and upset that Happy ( Milly dad mom ) didn't include Milly in her will because she wasn't their birth child , so they ( Milly parents ) told Happy that no kids of theirs were going to part of anything with unincluding any child of theirs. Milly Dad told his mom that he didn't want to be part of that because it didn't include Milly .When Milly decided to go back to her native country by herself her dad always made up excuses. Either that their wasn't enough money , that she was too young. He even brought up that maybe it wasn't safe to travel alone to another country. Even if it was her native country. In the end her Dad had no choice other than letting her go.
I think if i was a parent of an adopted child, I wouldn't want them to go back to their native country by them self's to figure out their past. I would tell them that I'm their parent, i cared for them, i watched them grow up. I will never ever be able to replace their biological parents, but I am their other parent. But if they truly would wanted to go, I would like to go with them, I would like to be with them every step of the way, knowing that it may hurt me emotional that they want to find their other parents , but ill try to be as supporting as I can. Many kids go throw these same problems everyday. Some are worst some are not. Some find out on their own that their adopted, some parents tell them when their at the right age to know, and to make their own decisions. Knowing they wont make any mistakes in what they choice to do and wont regret it after .
In conclusion "Finding Miracles" its a book that kept me thinking and wondering till the end. Its a book that i have learned to love and really respect. It has made me more aware that adopted children arent always aware that their adopted. They make the choices they do cause of what they been through That they make their choices because they want to figure out who they really are. If they do thats great if they don't thats also great. What matters is just being happy with what ever choice you made at the end, cause in the end its what you think and what you feel that really matters.
